Review by hotel critic
During our recent gourmet getaway at the Grand Hotel Des Terreaux in Lyon, my husband and I had a delightful experience exploring the culinary offerings both within the hotel and in the vibrant neighborhood. One morning, we indulged in a sumptuous buffet breakfast served in the cozy lounge. The spread included a tantalizing mix of sweet and savory items that catered to all tastes, setting a perfect start to our day of gastronomic exploration. The hotel's bar, open until 1 a.m., proved to be a great spot for nightcaps, allowing us to unwind after a day of sightseeing.Venturing out, we discovered a myriad of dining options within a stone's throw from the hotel. From Yaafa's addictive falafels to the delectable crepes at La Creperie du Major, each meal was a culinary journey in itself. One standout was Le Jeu de Quilles, a charming restaurant just a short walk away, where we savored local specialties in a cozy ambiance. The proximity to a variety of eateries made our stay at Grand Hotel Des Terreaux a true gastronomic delight, offering a taste of Lyon's rich culinary scene just steps from our doorstep. We look forward to revisiting this culinary paradise soon.
